Comfort and Connection

From the beginning, the homeowners envisioned a kitchen that was natural, welcoming, and blended naturally with their open-concept floor plan. We intentionally chose every detail from the cabinet paint color to the sightlines across the main level to create a sense of calm and connection to the lake.

This space feels timeless: a kitchen design that balances soft, natural textures with high-end craftsmanship, the very picture of modern cottage living.

Designed for Everyday Ease

Positioned at the center of the home, this open concept kitchen layout connects effortlessly to the dining room, great room, and sunroom, allowing natural light to pour in and creating an easy sense of flow. The layout was intentionally planned around real-life routines, with generous work zones and uncluttered circulation paths.

Storage was a key design focus: drawers and cabinets strategically placed to keep daily essentials close at hand while maintaining a clean, calming atmosphere. Whether the homeowners are prepping for guests or enjoying a quiet morning coffee, the kitchen supports both beautifully!

Custom Cabinetry 

Cabinetry is the backbone of this design. Painted in Benjamin Moore OC-14 Natural Cream, the perimeter kitchen cabinets introduce warmth and subtle contrast without overwhelming the space. Clean, inset cabinet doors and delicate molding details add a level of refinement.

Working closely with O’Hara Interiors, our team focused on custom storage solutions: concealed drawers, built-in organizers, and curated display areas. The finished cabinetry feels bespoke, balancing elegance with storage space for everyday purpose.

Intentional Surfaces

The kitchen’s honed Taj Mahal quartz countertops are both durable and beautiful. Their soft veining and Dupont edge detail add depth and sophistication, while complementing the creamy cabinetry and neutral palette. The stone’s natural beauty pairs perfectly with Benjamin Moore Swiss Coffee walls and mixed metal hardware, creating a layered, cohesive environment.

We chose each material not just for appearance, but for longevity and ease of maintenance, because you want your kitchen to be just as beautiful years down the road!

Lighting That Elevates 

Lighting options are essential for both mood and function and came together perfectly for this project. Expansive windows invite in abundant natural light, while layered interior lighting (a blend of recessed lighting and statement pendant fixtures) enhances the kitchen’s warmth and dimension.
